Texas Tech men’s basketball officially announced their non-conference matchup with LSU as part of the US LBM Coast to Coast Challenge on December 7. The game will take place in Fort Worth, Texas at Dickies Arena.

Tech owns 6-3 advantage in the all-time series between the two teams having won the last three in a row. The most recent matchup came during the 2023 Big 12-SEC Challenge in which the Red Raiders won 76-68 in Baton Rouge.

The programs are coming off seasons that ended on opposite ends of the spectrum. Tech ended their season 28-9 with a loss in the Elite 8 to the eventual National Champion Florida Gators. Meanwhile LSU is entering year four under head coach Matt McMahon after finishing 14-18 overall and 3-15 in conference play last season.

Tickets for the 2025 US LBM Coast to Coast Challenge in the Texas Tech fan allotment will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Thursday. An exclusive presale will be made available to Red Raider Club members and Red Raider Basketball season ticket holders beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Links to purchase tickets in the Texas Tech fan allotment will be emailed to donors and fans by the Texas Tech Athletics Ticket Office the morning of the presale and general public on-sale.
