2029 San Antonio (TX) Johnson wide receiver Braelyn Allen: “It was a great experience! I’m glad I got the opportunity to come to a game and I had a good time. I look forward to attending another one. My favorite part was when we got to see inside of the facilities. The coaches were all great and welcoming. I look forward to building relationships for the next several years.”
2027 Pflugerville (TX) Weiss wide receiver Dallas Schad: “The visit was great and the atmosphere was awesome. It was cool to get to tour the facilities. They are elite! I got to meet Coach Juice during Tech camp and he’s one of my favorite coaches. So it was great to see him and also catch up with Coach Nance.”
2027 (Anna) TX offensive tackle Shem Nyantee: “It was amazing! Getting to see Coach McGuire and some of the players that were at the camps again was great. The highlights I would say was the atmosphere. Even after it was pouring rain, all the fans stayed and supported the team. Lubbock is a great place and I’m looking forward to being back!”
2028 Royse City (TX) athlete Brandon Derrough-Harris: “It was good, the coaches were very welcoming and the players had great energy and looked like they had a strong bond with each other. The atmosphere was amazing.”
2026 Milton (GA) Cambridge kicker Leo Attard: “It was an incredible experience! One of the highlights for me was seeing the fans lined up hours before kickoff, eager to get into the stadium. The student section was packed once the gates opened, and the energy inside the stadium was electric both before and after the rain delay! One of the best places to watch college football in the country! Also loved the campus vibe throughout!”
2029 El Paso (TX) Pebble Hills tight end Noah Tarrant: “It was a great visit! The entire staff makes it feel like home for my family and I any time we are on campus. Coach Cochran is one of the best TE coaches in the country and the TEs in that room are second to none. Seeing TC go for over 100 yards and a TD definitely made me picture myself in that offense! The game day atmosphere was an amazing experience and something all recruits must take part in to really feel why Tech is changing college football.”
2028 Pflugerville (TX) Weiss quarterback Jaxon Schad: “My visit was great! Even through some of the weather delays the recruiting staff was great keeping us company in ways where we could still enjoy the visit waiting for the game to continue! My highlight was talking to Coach Leftwich and some others in the lounge before the game while they fed us! Then Tech played a great game. I had a fun time. #WreckEm”
2028 Pflugerville (TX) Weiss wide receiver Jordan Anderson: “My game day visit at Tech was amazing. I really liked the atmosphere, I loved the players and the energy they brought to the game, and talking to the coaches like Coach Juice, Coach Leftwich and I talked to Coach McGuire a little bit after the game. I felt comfortable at Texas Tech like all the coaches still kinda know me or know of me so I just felt way more relaxed.
My highlights of the game day visit was for sure the locker room after the game. They let Coach McGuire talk for a couple minutes then they start playing the music and everybody getting hyped, you know jamming to music happy that they won. That had to be one of the best moments ever, showing that even after a game they can still bring enough energy to have fun get hyped after the game with their teammates that’s real love.”
2027 Fort Worth (TX) All Saints offensive lineman Barrett Bray: “It was great the facilities are great but the coaches and staff are what made it great!”
2027 Liberty Hill (TX) kicker Luke Barto: “Visit went amazing. I was really impressed with how friendly the players and coaches were. The facilities and energy were on a whole different level. The highlight for me was meeting the coaches and joining the team for the post-game prayer.”

2028 Norman (OK) North quarterback Nash Henry: “It was awesome! The facilities at Tech are incredible! Seems like a great program!”
2026 McKinney (TX) North punter Tyler Schuler: “The trip to Tech was unreal. As athletes, you grow up dreaming about chances like this—being recruited by a D1 school. From the second we got off the bus at the stadium, you could feel how much they’ve invested in the players and the whole experience. The film rooms, workout facilities, and everything else were first class, and it all showed in the brand they’re building. The highlight for me was being on the field and watching the team warm up and specifically the punters Jack Burgess and Ian Hershey. I was locked in on how Jack Burgess prepared—his focus and routine stood out. Even during the game, he stayed sharp, working with the long snapper on the sideline, always ready for his moment. His work ethic really stuck with me. I came away with things I want to apply to my own game. More than anything, the trip made me feel like I’m ready for this next level—and with the right coaches and culture, I know I can be an asset to a program.”
