The Michigan State Spartans have landed a commitment from Colorado long snapper transfer Aiden Decorte. The Jackson, Michigan, native announced his decision via X on Monday evening. He will come to MSU as a walk-on.

Decorte also played at Central Michigan during his true freshman campaign. He did not see game action with the Buffaloes or Chippewas. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Decorte’s commitment follows the news that rush end Jack Lamancusa recently departed from Michigan State, which was first reported by Spartans Illustrated late last week. Lamancusa originally committed to the program in April. The departure of Lamancusa opened up a roster spot for the Spartans and made things easier to get Decorte in the fold.

“It feels great, it’s been a dream for a long time to be in this exact position,” Decorte told Spartans Illustrated about his commitment to MSU.

In 2025, Michigan State will return projected starter Kaden Schickel at long snapper. Schickel played in eight games last season before suffering a season-ending injury at Michigan on Oct. 26, 2024. The Spartans also added a true freshman preferred walk-on long snapper this offseason in Jack Willis. If needed, Michigan State could also turn to redshirt senior linebacker Sam Edwards, who has long snapping experience.

Notably, Michigan State also saw long snapper Jack Carson Wentz enter the transfer portal following spring ball after playing in five games in 2024.
