Maryland lands commitment from Philly three-star OL

Maryland football fireworks continue with the commitment of Imhotep three-star OL Jesse Moody
The fireworks continued for Maryland football post-Fourth of July, as the Terps received a commitment from Philadelphia (Pa.) Imhotep three-star OL Jesse Moody on Saturday.
Moody chose the Terps over Rutgers. Other offers for Moody included Georgia, Indiana, Oregon, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee and more.
The 6-foot-5, 340-pound Moody officially visited College Park the weekend of June 13, one week after an official visit to Rutgers. He had initially planned on committing back on June 25, but held off a week, instead announcing on July 5.
Moody’s commitment comes right on the heels of Willis (Texas) four-star interior OL Day’Jon Moore flipping his pledge from Pittsburgh to Maryland on July 4.
Imhotep is a school that has been good to Maryland in the past, putting numerous players in the NFL, including former Terp and current Chicago Bears starting wideout D.J. Moore.
The Terps now have 11 total commits in the 2026 class with the addition of Moody, the 79th-ranked offensive tackle nationally and the 29th-ranked player in Pennsylvania according to the On3 Industry Ranking. Moody becomes the class’ second offensive line commit along with Moore and the first offensive tackle.
