Vanderbilt wide receiver Tre Richardson discussed his transition from a Division II program to the SEC, noting the increased access to nutrition, rehabilitation resources, and supportive teammates as significant differences. Richardson chose Vanderbilt due to long-standing relationships with coaches and quarterback Diego Pavia, whom he has known since high school.

Richardson described himself as a versatile, speed-driven player recruited to add a deep-speed element to the offense. Motivated to prove that players from smaller programs can succeed at this level, he said his junior college experience and time in Division II football taught him how to survive in challenging environments with limited resources, pushing him to work harder.

Richardson believes the team has the personnel on offense, defense, and special teams to compete for a national championship. Richardson has quickly learned the playbook, built chemistry with Pavia, and praised the depth of the receiver group, expressing confidence in their ability to challenge the defensive backs in camp.
