Jordan White Discusses Why He Chose Vanderbilt and OL Coach Chris Klenakis

Jordan White met with the media on Wednesday afternoon, including our own Will Byrum and Trevor Hulan, it was a short media session but lets get into it.
Question 1: “What has it been like working with Chris Klenakis?”
Jordan: “It’s been awesome, he’s going to get everything out of us in practice to get us ready for a game. In all of my six years of college, this is the hardest I have had to work.”
Question 2: “You probably had a lot of places you could go with your size and skills, why did you choose here?”
Jordan: “I could feel the family environment. Coach K is awesome and when I met Coach Lee it wasn’t a normal conversation with a head coach. I could tell he actually wanted me here. He said ‘If you come here we can make the most out of it. If you don’t plan on being here that’s okay.’ My brother Chase is here as well, and when he lines up in life, I line up with him. We have the same goals and hopefully we can both get there.”
Question 3: “Chase Mitchell described you as his best friend, what is it like having that connection on the line?”
Jordan: “Amazing, like I said that’s my boy, whenever I make a play he is going to want to make a play. We push each other, that goes for the whole O-Line, you can call us the union.”
Question 4: “What is Clark’s messaging about false starts and things like that?”
Jordan: “It’s unacceptable, we aren’t going to win games doing that.”
Question 5: “How have you been working on cohesion with so many transfers on the line?”
Jordan: “Just doing things together off the field, we go through hardships on and off the field. We meet on our own without Coach K, we are always together building that cohesion together.”
Question 6: “How much of a challenge is it to get used to working with each other.”
Jordan: “It’s not hard you can work 24/7 together if you really love this.”
Question 7: “Is the offensive line where y’all want it to be yet?”
Jordan: “It’s not there yet but Coach K is getting the most out of us at practice and we have high expectations for ourselves.”
