Zaylin Wood Media Availability After Fall Camp The Dore Report 8/8/25

Vanderbilt defensive lineman Zaylin Wood enters the 2025 season healthy after recovering from an ankle injury that limited his playing time last year. He credited the training staff for assisting in his recovery and helping him secure an additional year of eligibility.

Wood’s goals include staying available for all 17 games, increasing production, particularly in sacks, and improving run defense and versatility along the line. He noted that the defensive line has improved depth capable of rotating three units deep, highlighted quarterback Diego Pavia’s leadership, and described teammate Glenn Seabrooks III as an essential interior presence in the run game.
