American Conference Unofficial Preseason Media Poll

American Conference media day is today in Charlotte, NC. In a departure from years past, there will be no official preseason media poll. However, TigerSportsReport of the On3 Network conducted an unofficial survey of 13 media members around the country who cover the conference.
Tulane placed first in the poll, with 177 points and seven first-place votes. Memphis, Navy, UTSA, and USF rounded out the top five, with each picking up at least one first-place vote. The top three finished within seven points of one another. Last year’s champion, Army, was voted sixth.

Participants in the American Conference Championship Game will be determined during the regular-season conference schedule as the teams with the two best overall American Conference winning percentages. The 2025 game will be held at the home stadium of the team with the best record on Friday, December 5, at 8:00 PM ET on ABC. It will be the 11th consecutive year the American Conference Championship is broadcast on ABC.
