Early in the second quarter, on 2nd and 8, the VMI pass is complete to #20 (OwenSweeney) for a 4 yard gain to the VMI10 where he’s wrapped up by Navy’s Justin Ross (#17) and quickly stopped.

VMI QB #5 (Collin Shannon) is sacked by Navy’s Kendall Whiteside (#98) for a loss of 7 yards to the VMI03.

Navy’s Eli Heidenreich (#22) rushes right for a 25 yard gain to the VMI10.

Navy’s Brandon Chatman (#24) rushes right for a 6 yard gain to get into the end zone but the touchdown was nullified by a holding penalty, moving the Mids from the VMI06 to VMI16.

Two plays later, Navy’s pass connects, short right, with Eli Heidenreich (#22)for 18 yards to the checkerboard end zone. Clock 11:07.
