RIVALS300 offensive lineman Tyreek Jemison commits to Georgia
After reopening his recruitment following a decommitment from Kentucky, 2026 offensive tackle Tyreek Jemison has a new home.
The Dallas, Georgia, native will be staying home as he announced his commitment and officially signed with Georgia on Wednesday. The Paulding County product now becomes the 29th commit in Georgia’s 2026 class and the fifth offensive lineman so far.
Why Georgia?
“I just feel like it’s a recipe for greatness, especially with the offensive line room, Coach [Kirby] Smart, Coach [Stacy] Searels, and their development plan,” Jemison told UGASports of his decision. “I feel like you just can’t fail when they’ve proved time and time again that they can send offensive linemen to the lead, and they’ve done it, honestly, every year, frequently.”
Georgia was a rather new option in Jemison’s recruitment. He didn’t receive an offer from the Bulldogs until his October visit to Athens for the Ole Miss game. However, the offer didn’t come out of the blue; Jemison went into the visit feeling that it was only a matter of time.
“I was 100 percent confident it was coming, …” Jemison told UGASports in a recent interview. “Going through my head was just, like I told him, just an in-state kid being in Georgia. It’s always been my dream to even have the opportunity to do this at the University of Georgia. Everyone in Georgia looks up to Georgia.”
Following that unofficial visit, Jemison took his official visit to Georgia just a few weeks later. The three-star prospect was at the Charlotte game for his official, which came a week after he saw Georgia host Texas.
At 6-foot-5, 330-pounder joins Ekene Ogboko as the two offensive tackles in Georgia’s 2026 class. Meanwhile, Zykie Helton, Graham Houston, and Zachary Lewis are all projected to play on the interior of the offensive line.
“So I want to be next. I know the work that has to be done isn’t easy, but hard work always finds good results,” Jemison said. “So I’m all in. That’s why I want to be a Dawg.”
