Aden Starling commits to Georgia

Aden Starling saw no need to wait any more.

The 2027 three-star receiver has committed to Georgia. Starling, a Texas native, chose the Bulldogs over offers from Texas, South Carolina, Ole Miss, and others.

“I would be a perfect fit for Georgia because of the team culture,” Starling told Rivals last month. “I fit that very well — being hungry no matter what, bringing a fight and being a Dawg.”

Starling visited Georgia for the Bulldogs’ win over Texas in November. That trip allowed him to get an idea of what it would be like to play for receivers coach James Coley.

“Coach Coley let me know he was ready for me to be a Dawg,” Starling told UGASports. “You can tell he cares for his players. As a person, he is someone who is good to be around. He is knowledgeable and wise, but also has good energy.”

Starling also feels he would fit in well with the Georgia program both on and off the field.

“I feel the offense fits my skill set and the school culture as a whole fits me a person,” Starling said. “I’m a hard-working, gritty person who loves to compete and be physical. I loved how physical and efficient the receivers played. They had minimal mistakes and capitalized when the ball came to them.”

Starling is the sixth commit to join Georgia’s 2027 class. He is the second receiver in the class, joining Gavin Honore.
