Between the Bets: Two wagers for Georgia-Charlotte

With Georgia and Charlotte one day away from kicking off, here are two wagers for the game.

Georgia O293.5 team rushing -110

Given the likelihood of backups entering the game early, there aren’t any player props offered on most books. Therefore, the first prop I’m suggesting is for the Bulldogs to go over 293.5 rushing yards as a team.

I know, that’s very steep. But the last time the Bulldogs faced a truly awful rush defense it ran for 303 yards against Mississippi State. Charlotte is somehow worse, ranking 131st nationally by allowing teams to average 206 rushing yards per game. The 49ers haven’t played a team of Georgia’s caliber. This game should get ugly fast and Georgia should pile up the yardage on the ground.

Georgia -43.5 -110

This seems absurd given Georgia’s recent history with big spreads. But the Bulldogs have been playing well lately. Charlotte is one of the five worst FBS teams. The Bulldogs should have a chance to work in a lot of backups who will still be able to move the ball on offense and stop the 49ers on defense.

Last week

Oscar Delp went over, but Zachariah Branch and Parker Livingstone did not. We just have to hope this is the week things get back on track.
