Four-star cornerback Nate Dollard enjoys gameday visit to Georgia

Charlotte Country Day (N.C.) 2028 cornerback Nate Dollard recently visited Georgia for the first time and left with an offer.
Dollard, who is rated as a four-star early in his recruitment, was excited about having an offer from the Bulldogs.
“It feels amazing, I was ecstatic,” Dollard told UGASports. “It was a surreal moment for me.”
Dollard met with Georgia defensive backs Donte Williams on the visit, and it was he who offered the 2028 prospect.
“Coach Donte told me he loved my film and just wanted to see how tall I was, but he was impressed with how technically sound I looked,” Dollard said. “And he congratulated me by letting me know I have received an offer.”
Dollard’s first gameday visit
Dollard and his family made the three-hour drive from Charlotte to the Classic City to see Georgia host Marshall.
The 6-foot cornerback soaked in everything the Bulldogs and Sanford Stadium had to offer.
“It was amazing, they really showed a lot of love and care for me and my family,” Dollard said. “My favorite part was definitely when the team came out of the locker room right before the game started, and the fans were all screaming ‘GO DAWGS!’ The energy was crazy.”
Dollard got a chance to see how Georgia’s defensive backs operated in person.
“They played lights out — only gave up two plays late in the game from what I remember, and honestly, I think one of those should’ve been OPI,” Dollard said. “I really loved Ellis Robinson IV’s technique; I was watching him almost every play.”
Building relationships
Outside of Williams, Dollard was previously in connection with Georgia safeties coach/co-defensive coordinator Travaris Robinson before his visit.
Dollard is starting to build a relationship with both Williams and Robinson.
“Coach Robinson, the safeties coach, came by my school in the spring to talk with me and my teammate Braylon Clark,” Dollard said. “He told us he’d be watching us, but that’s been the only contact so far.”
Dollard hopes the communication with the Bulldogs continues.
“My relationship with the staff is good, and I’m definitely looking forward to building those connections even more in the future,” he said.
What’s next
Dollard currently has offers from Georgia, Syracuse, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Nebraska, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Florida State, Vanderbilt, and NC. State
Dollard listed the Bulldogs as one of his top teams because of the way the staff treated his family. He also knows the history of the program under head coach Kirby Smart.
“I really like the energy from the fans and how loud the stadium gets. I also love how Coach Smart has been able to keep the program at such a high level and maintain a powerhouse in college football for years,” Dollard said. “The program is great. They’ve developed some really good corners, and the coaching overall is top-notch.”
Dollard hopes to return this spring and visit for a practice.
