Four-star defensive tackle Valdin Sone commits to Georgia

Georgia has landed another top defensive lineman for its 2026 class.
Four-star defensive tackle Valdin Sone has announced his pledge to the Bulldogs. Sone ranks as the No. 140 overall prospect and No. 14 defensive lineman according to the On3 Industry Ranking.
The Sweden-born defensive tackle originally earned his offer from Georgia back in March of 2024. However, after camping in June last year, he re-earned an offer from the Bulldogs. This time it was a “committable” one.
“I already had an offer from (Georgia) months ago. But, I did a camp at UGA and kind of got re-offered,” Sone told UGASports. “So, it’s a committable one, and I am blessed and excited.”
Sone is part of PPI Recruits, an organization that helps foreign football players find their footing and get recruited in the United States. Georgia picked up another PPI defensive lineman last summer when JJ Hanne committed to the Bulldogs.
Sone returned to Athens for another camp this summer. That workout sent him skyrocketing up Georgia’s board, with the Bulldogs pursuing Sone as a priority target until his commitment.
Sone is the sixth defensive lineman in Georgia’s deep and talented front-seven class. He joins Seven Cloud, Carter Luckie, Corey Howard, PJ Dean, and Preston Carey in Georgia’s defensive line class.
