John Milledge Academy (GA) 2028 tight end prospect Asa Wall was back in Athens a few weeks ago.

This time, it was for a gameday visit to see the Bulldogs host Marshall in the 2025 regular season opener.

Wall, a Georgia legacy and son of former Bulldog fullback J.T. Wall, enjoyed his visit.

“It was really nice,” Wall told UGASports.com. “I got to talk to the coaches, and then after we got to go and hang out for a little.”

Wall spent time talking with tight ends coach Todd Hartley and head coach Kirby Smart.

“I was talking to Coach Hartley. He was just telling me how to work on my game,” Wall said. “And then I got to talk to Kirby a little bit after the game. It was intense. He makes you say the right thing. He’s a guy and is important.”

Smart also saw Wall play six days later as John Milledge Academy played at Athens Academy.

“It was really cool to see him here,” Wall said.

Wall observes the tight ends

Wall got a chance to see how Hartley and offensive coordinator Mike Bobo use their tight ends.

The 6-foot-3, 225-pound prospect saw the Bulldogs run a lot of one and two-tight end sets.

“(I noticed) just how aggressive the linebackers were and how well tight ends played on the offensive line,” Wall said. “Oscar Delp and Lawson Luckie (caught my eye). I like how they use Delp in the passing and running game because he’s a hybrid guy. And Luckie, I watched him block. I watched him break down, and he’s a great blocker.”

Wall also saw freshman tight ends Elyiss Williams and Ethan Barbour were featured in the offense.

“That was nice,” Wall added. “Yes, sir, (that’s appealing to me).”

Another gameday visit planned

Wall has several other gameday visits planned, but is set to return to another game this season.

Georgia is near the top of Wall’s list for a number of reasons, but since he’s only a sophomore, he wants to let the process play out. The Milledgeville native admitted that he feels like a priority for the Bulldogs in the 2028 class.

“I would say so, because Todd Hartley and I have a very good relationship, and we’ve been talking a little bit,” Wall said. “He’s just a great guy, he loves football, he loves what he does, and I love how he coaches his tight ends.”
