Georgia Football's 2026-2029 SEC Opponents revealed

Georgia now knows its conference opponents for next season as the SEC schedule is finally here.

Following the decision to move to a nine-game conference schedule, the SEC office officially released its opponents for the 2026 season. With the new format, each program will have three annual opponents (traditional rivalry games), while the other six opponents will rotate every year.

For Georgia, as first reported by ON3.com‘s Chris Low, they are set to play Florida, Auburn, and South Carolina every year. That is at least through 2029, when the conference will reconsider the annual opponents.

Per a release from the conference, the SEC built the schedule with four areas of emphasis:

Traditional Rivalries – “maintain and renew traditional rivalries.”

Rotational Frequency – “increase frequency of matchups with opponents.”

Competitive Fairness – “endure a similar strength of schedule from top to bottom.”

CFP Participation – “maximize opportunity for SEC schools to qualify for the CFP.”

In addition to the move to nine games, all schools must annually schedule a non-conference game with the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, or Notre Dame.

Georgia’s annual meeting with Georgia Tech makes it seem like the Bulldogs will not have to worry about that.

These opponents are not listed in a specific order. The dates for these games will be announced in December.
