Georgia "in the mix" for three-star Virginia commit Jack Rhodes

Class of 2026 Virginia wide receiver commit Jack Rhodes was recently in Athens to see Georgia host Ole Miss.
Rhodes plays at Aquinas, a private school in Augusta, which is less than a two-hour drive from the Classic City. The three-star prospect committed to the Cavaliers in July, but the Bulldogs have piqued his interest.
Rhodes grew up a Georgia fan and enjoyed watching the Bulldogs hold on late to defeat the No. 5 Rebels.
“It was good. The offense looked really good,” Rhodes said. “They were able to do whatever they wanted. It was cool to see them score on every drive.”
The Bulldogs haven’t offered Rhodes yet, but he’s recently had in-depth conversations with members of the staff, including position coach James Coley.
Rhodes has already proven he can make plays at the high school level. He’s already caught 48 passes for 834 yards and 12 touchdowns through eight games of his senior season for Aquinas. Rhodes combined to catch 122 passes for 2,174 yards and 27 touchdowns during his sophomore and junior campaigns.
Rhodes already has two 1,000-yard seasons under his belt at the prep level and is on for another this year.
According to Rhodes, the Georgia offensive coaching staff likes his ability to make plays in space and his speed.
“I would be another playmaker that can get open, no matter what route,” Rhodes said.

What’s next for Rhodes?
Right now, Rhodes is focused on finishing his senior season with the Fightin’ Irish and leading them to a state title.
When his high school season ends, the 6-foot-1, 175-pound will evaluate his options. He also has offers from Georgia State, Kent State, Army, Navy, Chattanooga, Dartmouth, Samford, Eastern Kentucky, and Air Force.
However, Rhodes said Georgia is “in the mix.” He just wants to keep building a relationship with the staff.
“Yeah, they want to stay in touch and build a relationship. I like UGA a lot, too, as well,” Rhodes said. ” (The conversations) were good, got to start building a relationship with them. They are definitely in the mix.”
And what does the Bulldogs come through with an offer?
“It would mean a lot, that’s everyone’s hometown team, so it would be cool to play for them,” Rhodes said.
The three-star hopes to return to campus for another game next month and see where things stand with Georgia.
