Asa Wall has gotten Georgia’s 2028 class off to a strong start.

The tight end out of Milledgeville has committed to the Bulldogs. Wall, the son of former Georgia fullback JT Wall, chose Georgia over offers from Alabama, Florida State, Tennessee, Penn State, and others.

Wall earned an offer from Georgia after working out for the staff in June. He has attended Georgia’s home games against Marshall, Alabama, and Ole Miss this season, saying that the Bulldog staff has made him feel like a priority target.

“(Tight ends coach) Todd Hartley and I have a very good relationship, and we’ve been talking a little bit,” Wall told UGASports earlier this fall. “He’s just a great guy, he loves football, he loves what he does, and I love how he coaches his tight ends.”

During Wall’s most recent visit, he witnessed a huge day from Georgia’s tight ends. Lawson Luckie and Oscar Delp combined for 10 catches and 85 yards against Ole Miss, with Luckie hauling in three touchdowns in the 43-35 victory over the Rebels.

“It was awesome how they have the tight ends so involved in their offense,” Wall said after the visit.

The opportunity to follow in his father’s footsteps is something that isn’t lost on the younger Wall.

“It was really great because I used to watch a lot of (my dad’s) tapes and watch him run the football because I used to be a running back, but got a little too big for running back, so I had to switch positions,” Wall told UGASports this summer. “I think the offer means a lot, from where my dad used to go to school, and to where I could go now.”

Georgia is the second team in the SEC to land an initial 2028 commitment, following Mississippi State.
