Georgia has landed Kyson Mallard as its first offensive line commitment in the 2027 class.

The Albany native confirmed the commitment with UGASports. The three-star prospect chose the Bulldogs over offers from Florida, Florida State, Auburn, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, and others.

“It’s everything I dreamed of,” Mallard told UGASports when he received a Georgia offer this spring. “They have always been one of my favorite teams.”

Mallard earned his offer from the Bulldogs this spring. He then returned to Athens for a camp this summer.

At 6-foot-7 and over 300 pounds as a junior, Mallard projects as an offensive tackle at the next level.

During his previous visits to Athens, Mallard learned about the emphasis the Bulldogs place on the trenches.

“Games are won up front,” Mallard said. “Either you win or they do. Offensive line is the only position that has their back to the ball at all times, but are one of the most important.”

Georgia’s early faith in Mallard also resonated with him.

“They took a chance on me and they believed in me” Mallard said. “Going there would give them thanks back.”

Mallard is the first offensive line commit in the 2027 class. He joins Gavin Honore and Donte Wright as commits in the 2027 class.
