Rivals300 LB Nick Abrams commits to Georgia

Nick Abrams is a Bulldog.
The Rivals300 linebacker committed to Georgia on Wednesday. Abrams chose Georgia over Oregon, Michigan, and Alabama.
The pedigree of inside linebackers coach Glenn Schumann proved to be one of Georgia’s biggest selling points.
“He’s done it at the highest level in college football, won national championships. He’s done it all,” Abrams told UGASports earlier this summer. “So I think, and he’s got three Butkus Award winners at the age of 35. So he’s crazy. He’s probably one of the best in the game, if not the best. So it’s great to learn from him and talk to him. And it’s kind of surreal that he’s recruiting me and thinking that I have a priority for them.”
Abrams said Georgia sees his abilities as similar to recent first-round pick Jalon Walker. The Bulldogs believe he can play inside linebacker on early downs and then rush the passer on third down.
Walker spoke with Abrams during his May official visit. After that trip, Abrams told UGASports that he could see himself playing at Georgia.
“Coach Smart let it be known that it’s hard work,” Abrams said. “One of our first conversations was about how high a standard he holds you. But I wouldn’t want it any other way. For me, being pushed to the limit is only going to make me better. That’s the type of environment I could thrive in.”
Abrams is the 29th commit in Georgia’s 2026 class. He is the second linebacker in the Bulldogs’ class, joining Shadarius Toodle.
