Langston Hughes (GA) 2027 offensive tackle Kelsey Adams has seen his recruitment take off over the last year.

Adams, who recently transferred to Langston Hughes from North Clayton (GA), has an impressive offer sheet. The 6-foot-5, 280-pound offensive lineman currently hears a lot from Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, Auburn, Ole Miss, Kentucky, and Nebraska.

Adams said Georgia offensive line coach Stacey Searels has made him feel like a priority in the 2027 class.

“My relationship with UGA is pretty strong,” Adams told UGASports in June. “They’ve known me since I was in eighth grade. So really, it’s been a good minute. And my bond with Coach [Stacey] Searels is good, too. We’ve been talking a little bit, and he’s the one who offered me.”

The Bulldogs offered Adams, the nation’s No. 12 offensive tackle, on March 20. He said that “it felt great.”

Adams has watched Georgia produce NFL-caliber offensive tackles since the start of the Kirby Smart era.

“Playing for [Georgia] would be good. I feel like that’s an O-Lineman school,” Adams said. “So I feel like if I go there, it’s gonna be a good transition for me, and I can get better.”

Adams has been to campus several times, including in the spring for practice and during a 7-on-7 camp he attended with Langston Hughes in June.

The Atlanta-area native spoke to Smart, Searels, assistant offensive line coach Edmund Kugblia, and others.

Adams said that Smart wants him to set an official visit next summer, as well as attend another workout or camp.

“I talked to pretty much everybody. Coach Searels, Coach Edmund, and the assistant O-Line coach [Warren Ericson]. Pretty much everybody,” Adams said. “Coach Smart, too. He wanted me to come up there for OV and another camp next year, so we’ll see. They all like my athleticism, my size, and my feet work.”

Adams is ranked the nation’s No. 105 overall prospect in the Rivals300 for the 2027 class.
