Terrence Penick Jr. is staying home.

The three-star linebacker from South Gwinnett has committed to Georgia. Penick was previously committed to Coastal Carolina.

Penick earned an offer from Georgia on November 30. The Bulldogs have kept him on the radar for a while, even hosting him for a visit for the Ole Miss game in October.

“The visit was amazing,” Penick told UGASports. “The overall atmosphere, plus the food, plus the hospitality made the visit worthwhile. The game was great all the way until the last snap and the energy of the locker room was good as well.”

That visit also gave the 6-foot-3, 200-pound Penick a look at how he could fit in Georgia’s defense.

“I really liked the scheme of how the linebackers can switch responsibilities and not have set positions,” Penick said. “I also like the fit in terms of pass and run games being able to stuff the gaps, but get out in space.”

Penick profiles as more of a traditional inside linebacker in Georgia’s defense. His senior film showcases a player who can play in space while also showcasing strong tackling ability at the point of attack.

Penick joins Nick Abrams and Elijah Littlejohn as linebackers committed to Georgia in the 2026 class.
