Bulldogs picked to finish second in SEC

The eyes of the SEC media are upon Texas.
Steve Sarkisian’s Longhorns received 96 first-place votes, followed by second-place Georgia with 44.
Alabama (29 first-place votes) was tabbed third, followed by LSU (20 first-place votes), and South Carolina (five first-place votes).
Other teams receiving first-place votes include Oklahoma (three first-place votes), Vanderbilt (two first-place votes), and Florida (two first-place votes). Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Auburn received one first-place vote each.

Eleven Bulldogs make preseason All-SEC team
Eleven Bulldogs were named to the preseason All-SEC team. Eight made the first team.
On defense, defensive linemen Christen Miller, safety KJ Bolden, cornerback Daylen Everette, and linebacker CJ Allen earned first-team honors.
Georgia swept all six spots on the first team for special teams.
Zachariah Branch was named the top return specialist and all-purpose back. Kicker Peyton Woodring was named the top kicker and kickoff specialist. Brett Thorson was named the top punter, and Beau Gardner the top long-snapper.
Other Bulldogs named include tight end Oscar Delp (2nd team offense), running back Nate Frazier (3rd team), and offensive lineman Earnest Greene III (3rd team).
