Kirby Smart

On the atmosphere of Sanford Stadium…

“The environment was incredible. It was probably the best environment I’ve ever been a part of here. The crowd did their part, that’s for sure. The crowd was incredible and created a home field advantage that should have been enough for us to win, but we didn’t play real well and they did.”

On his takeaway from Georgia’s inability to get them off the field…

“We tried zone and it didn’t work, we tried man and it didn’t work. Their quarterback executed at a high level. They did a really good job of ID’ing what we were in and put themselves in the right play. Give them a lot of credit for their execution.

On the offense’s ability to run the ball…

“Physical. Our offensive line played really hard and physical. The ability to run the ball, we had some explosive runs. I’m proud of the way we ran the ball but we have to become a better passing team. We have to be able to throw it better.”

Gunner Stockton

On whether or not he felt confident in the play-calling tonight. . .

“Absolutely. Whatever Coach Smart calls, I’m confident in it.”

His first thoughts on tonight’s matchup. . .

“We didn’t execute. We have to get better. We have to work. We’ve got to get better at the little things.”

On what he can do to improve. . .

“I’ll have to look at the tape, but executing better.”

Daylen Everette

On Alabama’s success on third down…

“We will see tomorrow on what we did wrong in those third downs. We have to get them off the field on third down. It is something we have to do to win this game. We have to see what happened to make sure we get better and grow from it.

On not having success defensively in the past two games…

“It does not feel the best. We had a week to make ourselves better. We did not come out on top. It is not a great feeling, it is not fun to lose. We just have to see how we can grow from it.

Colbie Young

On being a senior leader after multiple drops…

“It is going to happen. I made drops plenty of times. Just keep your head up, he is a great player.”

On the past few losses to Alabama…

“They are a great program with great history. We are also a great program, a great history. Just competitors competing. They got the best of us this time, but we will be back.”
