WATCH: Kirby Smart and Georgia players' post-game comments

On Senior Day…
“First off, I want to thank the fans. I was a little surprised to see the turnout we did have and I thought with the weather this morning we didn’t know what we would get but I thought they did a good job getting here. The sun came out, it was warm, and it was awesome for those seniors. It was a good honor to them. They are one of the winningest groups ever to come through here and definitely one of the best records ever in Sanford Stadium. I am honored to have coached that group of men.”
On freshman Bo Walker’s three touchdowns…
“He is a young kid who’s a good back. We got to watch him play up at Rabun Gap his senior year and we thought he was a really good player and he’s gotten better and better. He hasn’t gotten impatient. There was a lot of hype behind the spring game and he was going to be this and that as a freshman. He hasn’t gotten any opportunities but we had some guys banged up to day and we said we were going to give Bo an opportunity. He has great vision, he’s low to the ground, he’s really hard to tackle. I love his spirit because he smiles every day at practice and he cuts up. He’s now starting on two special teams and he had three touchdowns today.”
On the key to the success up front and holding the Charlotte offense…
“That comes back to stopping the run and being more dominant up front. If you get in a lot of third and longs you’re going to win third down. We had them in a lot of third and longs. We kept things simple. Played well and I thought the kids played hard.”
