Each month of the Division I season, we’ll update our position power rankings to track the best players at each position. Our power rankings are determined by offensive and defensive statistics, the eye test on the field, strength of schedule and the player’s value to their team’s success.

The case could be made for either Miami’s Jenna Golembiewski or Oklahoma’s Jayda Coleman for the top spot but the nation’s home run leader (24) and RBI leader (62) are too much to overlook for the RedHawks outfielder. Coleman has ramped it up after a slower start at the plate. She is hitting .571 with five home runs in Big 12 play.

Virginia Tech’s entire outfield makes the list as Emma Ritter, Cori McMillan and Addy Greene each have an OPS north of 1.200 for the Hokies.

There are plenty of new faces to the list including a few national leaders. Fullerton’s Megan Delgadillo is back to form after a season-ending injury last year, leading the country with 30 stolen bases. Jessica Clements has the best batting average in the nation at .505 for Cal Poly.
