2024 Shortstop Rankings: May

Each month of the Division I season, we’ll update our position power rankings to track the best players at each position. Our power rankings are determined by offensive and defensive statistics, the eye test on the field, strength of schedule and the player’s value to their team’s success.
Oklahoma’s Tiare Jennings remains in the top spot as she competes for the National Player of the Year award. Minnesota’s Jess Oakland, UCLA’s Maya Brady and Nebraska’s Billie Andrews took a jump in the rankings.
The newest names to the shortstop list are freshman phenom Isa Torres, who is clutch and great defensively for the Noles, and Jackie Lis, a stellar sophomore building off her great freshman campaign.
