Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe was named to the Davey O’Brien QB Class of 2023, the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award announced on Tuesday.

Milroe is one of 35 signal-callers on the O’Brien’s initial list and is officially in the running for the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award. Semifinalists for the O’Brien will be announced on Nov. 14 with the group of finalists being released on Nov. 28. The 2023 winner of the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award will be announced as part of the Home Depot College Football Awards on Dec. 8.

Alabama has had two Davey O’Brien Award winners in program history, first with Mac Jones in 2020. He was followed the very next year by Bryce Young.

  • Averaging 10.57 yards per pass attempt to rank second in the conference and third nationally
