In June 1996, I started BamaOnLine.com as the first fan site of the AllianceSports network. In June 2001, Tim Watts joined the team, and BamaOnLine grew to more than 10,000 active subscribers, becoming the largest college fan site on the internet then.

I aimed to build BamaOnLine into the online digital brand that every Crimson Tide fan visited and depended on for their ‘Bama news and community. However, a few projects happened over the following decades, and I rarely had the time or energy to give the project full attention.

Fast forward to 2022, and I now believe we are in a position to create the largest and most engaged fan-site brand in the industry. Digital media has changed; that mission takes much more focus and resources than just the dot-com days. To pull this off, we would need an experienced and connected staff to cover all things Alabama and created specifically for all the platforms – the website, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Newsletter, App, and the list grows.

So now is the time, and we are going to do it.

It is a monumental effort and will take another 12 months to pull off, but I promise you it will happen. Ultimately, we will have a staff of 10+ content creators and a team that provides content and experience across all platforms.

On August 1st, 2022, we will be making our first significant move, and I promise there are more to follow.

I’ve been in this industry for almost 30 years, hired more than 1500 employees, and now I am in this last (3rd) iteration. I plan to finish what I started, and nothing short of the most experienced and respected group of Alabama Crimson Tide content creators and the largest and most engaged fan community will do.

“Big plans and big promises,” but we will back them up. We have a rollout offer of $1.00 for 1 year. Click here to grab your seat. This special is limited to the first 3,000 members that signup and it will move quick.
