Members of the Alabama Crimson Tide’s football program are continuing to capitalize in the world of Name, Image, and Likeness.

On Tuesday, several starters on defense announced new NIL deals with Krystal, a fast food restaurant chain headquartered in Dunwoody (Ga.). Brian Branch, Henry To’oto’o, Jordan Battle, and Will Anderson all announced their partnerships with Krystal via Instagram posts.

“Teaming up with Krystal just hits different,” Anderson wrote in his post. “Check out their new Side Chik lineup and choose from BBQ Bacon Cheese, Pimento Cheese, or the Classic. #Krystalpartner.”

Specifics regarding this partnership and the requirements of the Alabama players mentioned above were not made public.

Besides the Alabama group headlined by Anderson, student-athletes at other programs will announce, or have already announced, partnerships with Krystal today. Student-athletes from Auburn, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee are all teaming up with the fast food restaurant chain. The sports represented in this group are cheer, football, gymnastics, soccer, volleyball, and UGA’s spike squad.

This is not the first NIL deal for Will Anderson and Company

Last season, Will Anderson pushed all NIL-related discussions to the back-burner as his focus was on Alabama’s 2021 campaign. Once the season was over with, however, Anderson took full advantage of the opportunities that were awaiting him.

According to his On3 NIL tracker, Anderson has landed two other deals besides the one with Krystal: Rhoback and BMW of Tuscaloosa.

“(It’s changed my life) a lot,” Anderson said at SEC Media Days last month. “It’s been able to help me and my family, and I feel like right now I put money aside for, of course, myself, but I really am doing NIL to help my family a lot. I don’t want my parents to have to be stressed and worried about how they’re going to get to my games, any of that stuff like that. So to be able to take care of all that and to help them out to make sure that they’re living well enough to balance everything out has been great.”

Anderson also appeared on Atlanta’s 92.9 The Game last month, saying that he’s further reaping the benefits of the NIL world. He’s been driving a 2021 Porsche Cayenne GTS, which has a current resale value of $120,000.

These aren’t the first NIL deals for Battle, Branch, or To’oto’o, either.

Earlier this month, Battle landed deals with Bojangles (another fast food restaurant chain), The Players Trunk, and Jenloop. The Players Trunk allows fans to buy his official trading card that is hand-signed. Jenloop, meanwhile, charges a set amount of dollars for Battle to post a personalized shoutout on his Instagram or Twitter.

To’oto’o also has a partnership with Jenloop, as well as one with PSD Underwear. As for Branch, the only other NIL deal we’ve tracked besides the Krystal partnership is one with The Player’s Lounge.

What are the On3 NIL Valuations Anderson, Battle, Branch, and To’oto’o?

The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes. A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation calculates an athlete’s NIL value using dynamic data points targeting three primary categories: Exposure, Influence, and Performance.

While the algorithm includes deal data, it does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals athletes have completed to date, nor does it set an athlete’s NIL valuation for their entire career. The On3 NIL Valuation calculates the optimized NIL opportunity for athletes relative to the overall NIL market and projects out to as long as 12 months into the future.

Alabama’s new Krystal partners hold some fairly high On3 NIL Valuations.

Will Anderson currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $1.6 million, which is No. 6 overall amongst college football players. The player with the highest valuation in college football is teammate Bryce Young ($3.2 million).

Anderson’s per post value is $2,000, with his total followers on Instagram and Twitter amounting to roughly 84,000 followers.

With 71,000 total followers, Jordan Battle’s On3 NIL Valuation is $666,000. That puts him at No. 30 in the College Football NIL Rank, with his per post value being $1,200.

Switching over to Brian Branch, he checks in with an On3 NIL Valuation of $247,000. His total followers on Instagram and Twitter are over 24,000, and his per post value is $459.

To’oto’o’s valuation is the lowest of the four at $224,000, but that still places him in the top 200 of all college football players. His per post value, however, is $697 as his total followers add up to over 50,000.
