Auburn football's transfer class: Roster sees massive increase in proven production

Auburn football appears to be finished adding and subtracting players following the winter and spring transfer portal windows, and Hugh Freeze and his coaching staff most certainly deserve a break. All portal windows are closed. If Auburn loses anyone else to the transfer portal before next fall, it will be a graduate transfer who has the ability to transfer upon graduation. As for adding transfer players, the Tigers appear to be finished as they approach the 85 scholarship number. One observation: It's startling the difference in production coming to Auburn and the production leaving. The Tigers landed talented players as evidenced by a top-five transfer portal class. They landed numerous projected starters, but as much as anything, Freeze and Co. added an enormous amount of proven production on the college level to help raise the level of competition as fall camp approaches. The defensive line/edge position lost 16 tackles and added 417. The receiver position lost 260 yards receiving and two touchdowns, while adding 4,390 and 48 touchdowns. The offensive line lost 1,627 career snaps and added 5,715. That trend continued at every single position. There isn't one position where Auburn didn't dramatically increase proven production. Here's a one-stop-shop refresher, position-by-position.
