*Flip targets: Auburn flipped a couple recruits over the weekend — 4-star corner Colton Hood (Michigan State) and 3-star offensive tackle Tyler Johnson (Texas Tech). Could more flips be on the way and who is one player to watch? We think it would be wise to keep an eye on Ohio State 4-star cornerback pledge Kayin Lee. The Tigers seem to have a real shot with him thanks to the efforts of secondary coach Zac Etheridge.

*Weekend recap: Auburn had 12 official visitors in town. We give you the latest on many of those recruits.

*QB chatter: It appears Auburn is taking a close look at both Marcel Reed, a 4-star Ole Miss commit, and Hank Brown, a 3-star recruit and former Liberty commit. Both players visited the Tigers over the weekend. While neither has an Auburn offer yet, that possibly could change in the very near future.

Tracking Hugh Freeze’s first Auburn football staff with hires, potential candidates

Hugh Freeze is in place, working throughout the week to evaluate the Auburn football roster and make decisions regarding his first coaching staff on the Plains. Auburn Live will monitor the coaching moves closely, updating our Coaching Staff Tracker when necessary.

During Freeze’s introductory press conference, this is what the new Auburn coach said regarding building his staff:

“I have a list of every position and a lot of great candidates. There are some here, there are some where I just came from, and they’re all around the country. I’m constantly getting texts,” Freeze said.
