AUBURN – There were plenty of bright spots for Auburn tonight on both offense and defense.

Bryan Harsin and Eric Kiesau’s offense showed signs of life with Robby Ashford at quarterback. Nobody would have predicted Ashford would finish with 337 passing yards and two touchdowns.

The Tigers finished with 21 first downs, over six yards per play, and created enough big plays to win the football game. On the flip side, the defense played one of their better games in the last two years, forcing nine LSU punts and one turnover in 12 possessions. There isn’t anything more that group could have done.

But it was all for nothing, as Auburn dropped another game in which it led by double digits.
