The initial report from Simmons’ arrest cited charges of domestic assault with strangulation or suffocation, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. His bond was set of $20,000.
Simmons recorded 451 yards receiving on 40 receptions with three touchdowns in his first season.
The former four-star wide receiver signed with Auburn out of Alexander City, Ala., as part of the Tigers’ 2024 class. In his freshman season, Simmons played a key role as a return specialist and as a receiver.
