AUBURN — It’s week three of Auburn football spring camp. Hugh Freeze met the media on Monday afternoon to chat about the progress on a number of fronts, including the progress of the quarterback position and more.

Here’s the high points from Freeze’s meeting with the media as practice No. 7 gets underway:

— “They are very coachable,” Freeze says of the quarterbacks. “Truthfully, I wish we were further along, but it’s not from a lack of ‘want to.’ I’m not even sure it’s from a lack of candor. We have to coach it better and hopefully we’ll see a turn towards a better understanding of what we’re trying to do. ..”

— “I don’t like the inconsistencies” through six days. “Part of that is on the staff to get fixed.”

— Freeze adds that he wishes the quarterbacks were further along in terms of where the offensive is at implementing schemes with Philip Montgomery.

— “We weren’t planning to install a ton,” but Freeze said the progression of installing the offense has slowed because of the lack of execution from the quarterbacks.

— Freeze talking about Camden Brown, “he scored a touchdown that was a nice play on a a back-shoulder ball.”

— Freeze said the two positions that stands out as positions with a “long way to go” are the quarterback room and the receiver room.
