Notable: Williams was offered by Auburn on March 3, 2025. He visited Auburn quietly in the spring and was high on the Tigers’ board at the time. Things fell off. Meanwhile, Alex Golesh and his staff at USF kept chipping away at Williams, even after his commitment to Alabama. The Bulls recently got Williams on campus for an official visit. Then, Golesh took the Auburn job. Williams shifted his attention to the Tigers immediately.

Quotes: “Coach Golesh and his coaches started to show me interest the second they got to Auburn. The communication with Auburn really started while Coach Golesh was at USF, even tho he didn’t know exactly where he was going to go. He kept telling me that I’m good no matter what.”

Pink’s Analysis

Williams owns a lengthy, and somewhat lanky, build at this stage in his playing career. He has a frame that can fill out well over 200 pounds. Watching Williams in his game film, he has a high talent ceiling. Williams has plenty of speed to go with his big frame. He is not a typical tall receiver.

Williams’ upside was seen as a major plus for Alabama, despite his lower ranking. Auburn, under Golesh, values his skill set for the same reasons. Williams looks similar to some of the receivers that have played in Golesh’s system, such as Ramel Keyton at Tennessee.

Williams had a run of big offers in the spring, he’s been committed to Alabama, has a high talent threshold… He’s highly intriguing and seems to be a good fit for Auburn’s new offensive system.
