The 2025 MLB Draft begins on Sunday, and multiple Florida Gators will hear their names called as well as some 2025 signees. UF could produce four draft picks for the 16th time in the last 17 years.

Coverage begins at 6 p.m. ET on Sunday with 105 selections in rounds 1-3. The first 43 picks will broadcast live on ESPN and MLB Network, while the other 62 will be simulcasted on MLB.com. The 2025 MLB Draft concludes on Monday with rounds 4-20 starting at 11:30 a.m. ET on MLB.com. The Gators have multiple players included in various prospect rankings across the industry.

Florida’s draft hopefuls are shortstop Colby Shelton, catcher Luke Heyman, right-handed pitcher Jake Clemente, infielder Bobby Boser, catcher/designated hitter Brody Donay, second baseman Cade Kurland, outfielder Blake Cyr and left-handed pitcher Pierce Coppola.

Some UF commits in its 2025 recruiting class could also be drafted, including right-handed pitcher Aaron Watson and shortstops Jordan Yost and Nicolas Partridge. All draft-eligible players can be selected unless they proactively remove their name from the draft.

UF has produced 225 unique draftees and 26 first-round picks since the MLB Draft began in 1965. Florida’s draft history has been even more impressive under Kevin O’Sullivan, who boasts 110 selections and 14 first-round picks — the latter of which ranks No. 2 nationally.
