4-star safety Kaiden Hall signs with Florida Gators

Florida locked in an important piece of its defensive recruiting class on Friday, as 4-star safety Kaiden Hall of Milton (Fla.) High officially signed with the Gators during the Early Signing Period.

According to sources, Hall is expected to be Florida’s final signee of the Early Signing Period.

The announcement caps a wild final stretch in his recruitment after late pushes from Georgia Tech and LSU, but Florida ultimately held strong and closed on a defender it has coveted for years.

As we reported on Wednesday, Hall was planning to sign with the Gators on Friday, which is also his birthday, after his father confirmed the decision to us. That was significant news at the time, especially with real movement behind the scenes early in the week.

Florida’s ability to steady the recruitment and keep Hall on track for a Friday signing became a turning point heading into the home stretch.

Hall had been recruited by Florida for more than two years under former head coach Billy Napier, committing to the program following his June official visit.

When Jon Sumrall was hired last Sunday, the new staff quickly moved to solidify the relationship, reassure the family and keep the momentum from slipping. Those conversations helped stabilize things at a time when uncertainty could have opened the door for others.

Georgia Tech made the strongest late run, building real traction early in the week, while LSU entered the picture after its coaching transition. Both programs worked to complicate Florida’s chance to hold on, but the Gators’ consistency combined with Hall’s long-standing comfort with the program was the difference.

Hall becomes one of the headliners of Sumrall’s first signing class. His versatility and range give Florida a high-upside defender as it works to reshape the secondary for the future.
