5 Gators earn All-SEC honors from league coaches

The Southeastern Conference announced the 2025 All-SEC Baseball Team on Monday afternoon, with five Florida Gators earning recognition. The group was headlined by catcher Luke Heyman’s first team selection.
While Heyman was the lone Florida player to receive All-SEC first team honors, right-hander Jake Clemente was named to the second team as a relief pitcher.
Rookie phenoms Aidan King and Brendan Lawson earned spots on the 12-man Freshman All-SEC Team. Senior infielder Bobby Boser made the All-SEC Defensive Team at third base.
Heyman batted .301/.397/.578 backed by 13 homers, one triple, seven doubles, 44 RBI and 37 runs scored. He also finished with a .998 fielding percentage on top of leading the SEC in chances and putouts. Heyman broke his forearm against Alabama and is out for the season.
Clemente has logged a 0.86 ERA, seven saves, .160 batting average against and 35-to-10 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 21 innings across nine appearances. King pitched in 16 games (11 starts) with a 6-2 record, 2.76 ERA, .220 BAA and 72-to-21 K-to-BB ratio over 65 1/3 frames.
