Billy Napier hires Cleveland Browns dietitian to Gators nutrition staff

Rachel Adamkowski has joined Florida’s nutrition staff as a football performance dietitian, first-year coach Billy Napier announced Tuesday.
Adamkowski spent the 2021 season in the role of performance nutrition for the Cleveland Browns. She was a sports nutrition intern at North Carolina from 2019-21 and in the same position at Duke in 2018. Adamkowski worked at UNC with Kelsee Gomes, Florida’s new director of sports nutrition.
A native of Raleigh, N.C., Adamkowski graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor of exercise science and was a sports nutrition intern for four years. She later earned her master’s in public health from UNC in 2021.
Adamkowski joins the Gators Army
Adamkowski is the 51st hire announced by Napier, though Corey Bell has since joined FIU’s staff as cornerbacks coach and recruiting coordinator. Adamkowski is the 34th off-the-field staffer for the Gators.
Sean Spencer (co-defensive coordinator/defensive line), Patrick Toney (co-defensive coordinator/safeties), Corey Raymond (cornerbacks), Mike Peterson (outside linebackers) and Jay Bateman (inside linebackers) are the defensive coaches on staff.

“We’re going to hire an army of people here. We’re going to create an infrastructure not only in the personnel department but also from on-campus recruiting, creative media, name, image, and likeness. We’ve got a great vision for the organization that we’re going to create here,” Napier said during his introductory press conference.
