MIAMI — The Florida Gators are down another defensive starter for their rivalry matchup at No. 4 Miami. Redshirt senior EDGE George Gumbs Jr. is the latest player to be ruled out after missing practice this week with an injury.

Gumbs traveled with the team and attempted to play but did not go through warmups. With him sidelined, true freshman EDGE Jayden Woods is expected to make his first career start Saturday at JACK outside linebacker.

Gumbs is the latest loss for the Gators on their defensive front. They are also without defensive linemen Caleb Banks and Michai Boireau, which was first reported by Gators Online on Friday, along with JACK OLB LJ McCray.

A new addition to the injury report on Saturday is backup left guard Kamryn Waites, who is not dressed for the Miami game. One player that returned for the Gators is safety Michael Caraway Jr., who missed the last two games.

Florida is without nine players against the Hurricanes, including Dallas Wilson. UF coach Billy Napier said the freshman receiver, who’s been out since the first week of training camp, will be back practicing next week during the bye.

Here is the Gators’ final injury report for the Miami game.
