GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Gators and Texas A&M Aggies are two teams badly in need of a win. Only one will accomplish that this weekend in the Gators’ second true road game of the year.

Both programs sit at 1-4 in SEC play and in the bottom two in their respective divisions. The Aggies lost a fourth straight game in SEC play to match their worst losing streak since 2005, the last time the program missed a bowl game. The Gators have lost two straight games to Texas A&M (2017-2020) and trail 3-2 in the all-time series. The Gators also need two more wins to obtain bowl eligibility, something that is critical to the future success of Billy Napier’s program.

Those 15 bowl practices will be vital for the young players to gain experience as Florida prepares for year two under Billy Napier.
