GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Southeastern Conference released their schedule for the 2025 season and the Florida Gators have their eight conference games. The SEC chose to keep the same opponents from 2024 but flip the home and away for those league games.

This means the Gators will, once again, travel to College Station to play Texas A&M. Since the Aggies joined the SEC in 2012 the two teams have met four times with a fifth coming in 2024 when Texas A&M travels to Gainesville. The 2025 content will be the fourth time Florida has traveled to College Station since Texas A&M joined the league. The Georgia Bulldogs have played Texas A&M just once (a 19-13 win in Athens) since the SEC expanded in 2012. Georgia and Texas A&M have played six times since 1950 but the Bulldogs have never traveled to College Station.

Similar to the 2024 SEC football schedule, during the 2025 season teams will play eight conference games plus one required opponent from the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12 or major independent.

Schools will play the same opponents in 2025 that they are scheduled to play in 2024, with sites changed for equal home and away competition over the course of the two seasons.

Dates, kickoff times, and T.V. designations will be announced at a later date.

The 2025 season will be the second year that the SEC Championship Game will feature the top two teams in the 16-team Conference standings at the end of the regular season. Beginning with the 2024 season, the SEC will eliminate divisional standings.

Florida will host Mississippi State, Tennessee and Texas. The Gators also will be the home team against Georgia in Jacksonville. The Gators will also continue their annual rivalry with the Florida State Seminoles. The 2025 game is scheduled to be held in Gainesville.

The Longhorns will make their second-ever trip to The Swamp with the first being in 1940. MSU heads to Gainesville for the first time in 15 years that saw the Gators winning 10-7 in 2010.

Road games feature trips to Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss and Texas A&M. The matchup in Oxford is Florida’s first time back since a 51-35 victory in 2020.
