GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Gators are adding former Arkansas offensive coordinator Dan Enos to their staff in an off-field role. Gators Online confirmed the news on Tuesday.

Enos is being brought to Gainesville with a focus on advanced scouting and head coach projects, according to a program source. Florida had previously had Paul Pasqualoni on staff in a similar role before he took a job in the NFL prior to the 2022 season.

Enos spent the 2023 season in Fayetteville with the Arkansas Razorbacks. Enos was relieved of his duties with the Razorbacks following a 7-3 loss to Mississippi State, which dropped the Razorbacks to 2-6 on the season.

“It’s disappointing because I’m the head coach at Arkansas and this state deserves better, and that’s the biggest disappointment,” Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman said after the game. “Because we’ve got kids in there playing their hearts out. We just got to figure out a way to score some points.”

Enos was in his second stint with the Razorbacks after previously serving as the team’s OC from 2015-17. He’d been hired this past offseason after two seasons as the offensive coordinator at Maryland . He was the replacement for Kendal Briles, who helped Arkansas rank sixth in the SEC in scoring each of the last two seasons, including with an average of 32.5 points per game last year.

Under Enos, the Razorbacks posted 22 points or fewer each of their last four games.

Enos has served as an offensive coordinator at Lakeland College, Northern Michigan, Missouri State, North Dakota State, and Arkansas, Miami and Maryland. He spent one season at Alabama in 2018 coaching quarterbacks as well. He was also the head coach at Central Michigan from 2010-2014
