Florida forward Alex Condon is earning national attention before the season even begins. ESPN analyst Jay Bilas included Condon on his 2025 preseason All-America list, naming him to the third team.

Bilas praised Condon’s all-around impact for the reigning national champion Gators, noting his versatility and poise in big moments throughout last season.

“One of the most skilled big men in college basketball returns to once again play a leading role for the reigning champion Gators,” Bilas wrote for ESPN. “Expect more from Condon on the glass (7.5 RPG in 2024-25) and offense (10.6 PPG in 2024-25).”

Earlier this week, Condon was also named to the five-man preseason Associated Press All-America team. That was announced by the AP. The Perth, Australia, native had seven double-doubles during Florida’s 2024-25 national championship season. He grabbed 103 offensive rebounds, the third-most in a single season in school history.

Florida has only had one first-team All-America in its history. Walter Clayton Jr. earned the honor for the 2024-25 season. Before Alex Condon, the last Gator to get preseason AP All-America recognition was Joakim Noah ahead of the 2006-07 season.

Condon was a key piece of Florida’s championship run last season, bringing size, skill and consistency to the frontcourt. With several veterans gone, he’s expected to take on an even larger role as the Gators aim to defend their title when the season tips off on Nov. 3 against No. 13 Arizona in the Hall of Fame Series in Las Vegas.
