Florida Gators junior Alex Condon has been named to the five-man preseason Associated Press All-America team, the AP announced Monday.

Condon was the Gators’ top scorer last season, averaging 10.6 points per game. He also earned a first-team All-SEC preseason honor and was named a first-team All-America by Blue Ribbon Yearbook. The Perth, Australia, native had seven double-doubles during Florida’s 2024-25 national championship season and grabbed 103 offensive rebounds, the third-most in a single season in school history.

Florida has only had one first-team All-America in its history. Walter Clayton Jr. earned the honor for the 2024-25 season. Before Condon, the last Gator to get preseason AP All-America recognition was Joakim Noah ahead of the 2006-07 season.

Alex Condon joins Braden Smith (Purdue, unanimous selection), JT Toppin (Texas Tech), Yaxel Lendeborg (Michigan) and AJ Dybantsa (BYU) on the AP preseason team.

No. 3 Florida opens its 2025-26 season on Monday, Nov. 3, against No. 13 Arizona in the Hall of Fame Series in Las Vegas. The Gators’ home opener is set for Nov. 6 at 8 p.m. against North Florida.
