Florida Gators basketball NCAA Tournament projections

The Florida Gators basketball team, now 20-8 following Wednesday night’s win over Missouri, is solidly in the field of the upcoming NCAA Tournament.

But the question is, how high of a seed can the Gators get?

Two big upcoming games certainly will impact that. First, Florida, ranked No. 24, plays at No. 18 South Carolina on Saturday. Next week, the Gators play host to No. 14 Alabama.

Both are Quad 1 games — and those are the ones the selection committee most closely watches.

Per Sportskeeda, this is what qualifies as a Quad 1 victory: “A win at home against teams ranked 1-30, win at a neutral venue against teams in the Top 50 and an away win against teams in the Top 75.”

KenPom ranking: 28
