Florida Gators begin summer camps, 7 on 7 tournaments this month

Summer camp SZN is here. As the Florida Gators host dozens of official visitors this month, the coaches will also be working with hundreds of campers — and handing out some new offers.
The Gators hold their opening session under coach Billy Napier and his staff on Monday, the first of three one-day camps this month.
Florida has additional one-day camps on June 10 and 19. UF will also have an OL/DL camp and a specialist camp on June 17.
These camps are an opportunity for Napier and his staff to get recruits on campus for in-person workouts and see how they respond to coaching.
The camps will help the coaches build their recruiting board for 2026 and 2027, as well as potentially find some diamonds in the rough for the 2025 class — such as Noel Portnjagin from Germany in the 2024 cycle.

Portnjagin camped in Gainesville last summer and landed an offer shortly thereafter following his workout with the coaches. Florida was the first school to do so as well, followed by South Carolina and Auburn. Less than a week later, he committed to the Gators.
Florida is also having the first of three 7 on 7 tournaments, Swamp Shootout, on Wednesday. That event should produce a huge turnout for recruiting.

UF has two more 7 on 7 camps on June 12 and June 21. The latter is the last camp of the month and will serve as the replacement for Friday Night Lights.
The Gators will also have their annual Grill in the ‘Ville in July.
