Florida Gators get good news at WR in Thursday's injury report

The Florida Gators issued an updated availability report on Thursday night, along with Kentucky. It’s the second of four injury reports that will be released before the Gators (3-5, 2-3 SEC) face the Wildcats (3-5, 1-5 SEC) on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. on SEC Network.

The Florida Gators’ depth at the wide receiver position has been tested with injuries stacking up in that room. However, the Orange and Blue got some good news on that front in Thursday’s updated injury report. After being listed as questionable in Wednesday’s report, wide receivers Vernell Brown III and Aiden Mizell were removed from the injury report altogether on Thursday. That means the two are on track to play on the road against the Wildcats this weekend. Florida freshman running back Duke Clark was also removed in Thursday’s update after previously being listed as questionable.
The Gators still have several players listed as out, with 13 Florida players listed.
Gators Online previously reported that freshman Dallas Wilson suffered a foot injury in the loss to Georgia and would miss the remainder of the season. As expected, he’s listed as out.
The Florida Gators will be without veteran wide receivers Eugene Wilson III and Taylor Spierto as both are listed as out. The Gators are also projected to be without a pair of linebackers, with Grayson Howard and linebacker Ty Jackson listed as out. Defensive back Michael Caraway Jr. is another name listed as out.
Other previously injured Florida Gators that remained on the availability report as out include defensive lineman Caleb Banks (foot), running backs Ja’Kobi Jackson (undisclosed) and Treyaun Webb (hamstring), EDGE LJ McCray (foot), and defensive backs Aaron Gates (shoulder) and Dijon Johnson (knee).
