Gators RB KD Daniels to enter NCAA Transfer Portal
According to Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett, Florida Gators running back KD Daniels is entering the NCAA Transfer Portal. The Mississippi native recorded 28 carries for 120 yards and one touchdown during the 2025 season.
According to sources, Daniels’ decision to enter the transfer portal was expected. There was thought he could have entered the portal after the 2024 season as well. During his two seasons in Gainesville, Daniels rushed for 197 yards and two touchdowns behind 5.1 yards per carry.
With Daniels entering the portal, Florida’s running back room continues to evolve heading into the offseason. Jadan Baugh is obviously to be the centerpiece of the offense moving forward, particularly with quarterback DJ Lagway leaving the program.
Baugh’s physicality and production down the stretch makes him one of the top backs nationally. The Gators are expected to lean heavily on the run game as the offense takes shape under Jon Sumrall.
Florida still has several scholarship running backs on the roster too. Treyaun Webb is expected to return after working back from injury, while Duke Clark showed promise as a true freshman, flashing quickness and versatility when given opportunities. Byron Louis is another back to monitor as well.

Even with those pieces in place, Florida could look to add another running back through the transfer portal to bolster depth and competition.
Coming out of high school at West Point (Miss.) High, KD Daniels was a 4-star prospect and the No. 172 overall prospect. That is according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted algorithm that complies all major recruiting media services.
